Responsible to manage team with diverse personalities and backgrounds. Responsible for corporate infrastructure including Local and Wide area networking and servers. Responsible for design, support and maintenance of LAN/WAN and Network servers. LAN/WAN comprised of Cisco routers and switches, Cisco IP telephony, redundant Internet connections using BGP. Redesigned 16 site WAN twice during my tenure, first to frame relay from 56k leased lines and secondly to MPLS and MOE services. Completed a full IP network redesign adding NAC for the corporation (all sites). Implemented Cisco QoS, Migrated to ASA firewalls from PIX, and upgraded ASA’s to new software. Managed WLC/WCS for wireless. Server environment comprised of Windows and Linux. Ninety percent of these are virtual using VMware vSphere. Implemented SAN solution with replication used to host VMWare clusters. Migrated from GroupWise to Exchange, and am in the process of an exchange 2007 to 2010 upgrade. Mobile device support configured with BES and Microsoft TMG for activesync. Have used Landesk, and ZenWorks as well as some in house built tools for PC management.

My main focus has been networking and security, but I have extensive knowledge in many areas, storage and virtualization, for example. Most of my skills have been self taught, some I got started with training and built from there. I am an experienced manager who has managed teams with very diverse backgrounds and personalities. Very enthusiastic to accomplish projects, have led teams through many projects that were said to be impossible.
