About Dan Barefoot

I am an enthusiastic, thrill-seeking Landscape Architect and Team USA Athlete. The same passion that I bring to work stays with me as I train and compete for the United States in the Olympic sport of Skeleton. Juggling all of my interests keeps me alive! When I\'m not working or training for the Olympics, I love to spend my time woodworking or designing new theoretical parts for faster racing equipment! Pulling together art and functionality from raw materials and ideas is so satisfying.Over the past 12 years of working as a Landscape Architect, I have been very fortunately exposed to a wide variety of projects spanning diverse markets, scales, and clientele in countries all around the world. From multi-billion dollar theme parks, like the newly finished Universal Beijing Resort in China, to high end resorts in the Caribbean, global corporate headquarters, regional parks, neighborhood developments, schools, and everything in between. Every single project has helped shape me into the designer and problem solver I am today. There is far more that links our world together than that separates it. It\'s incredible to see how true this is with every new project.
