Support Production/Manufacturing personnel with any problems they may encounter in the manufacturing process, to include providing technical hands-on guidance, assisting in problem resolutions and coordinating with Hardware and Electrical Engineering to correct/revise designs and/or documentation to facilitate ease in manufacturing and promote cost reductions. Design tools and packaging as needed to support production, review tooling needs and make recommendations based on build requirements. Review current manufacturing processes and procedures and make recommendations to improve efficiencies. Participate in Make/Buy decisions to determine the most cost-effective means of production. Perform drawing and design reviews to ensure accuracy and manufacturability on new and/or revised drawings and parts lists. Generate detailed work instructions for drawings, specifications, and other technical data. Status assigned programs to upper management through direct communication or in weekly status reports. Coordinate with other departments to ensure a continual flow of work through production. Cost Account Manager (CAM) support to management. Review and generate Basis of Estimate (BOEs) for new cost proposals and update existing BOEs when changes to the proposed scope of work change. Perform labor hours analysis and labor hour spreading for new programs or programs that are re-base lining. Perform Earned Value (EV) calculations for assigned programs.
