ABOUT DAMIR BABIĆ
Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15+ years of industry experience in metal processing, machine design, product development, and manufacturing leadership. My career spans from hands-on production and process engineering to managing both small-scale and capital industrial projects — especially in boiler systems, pellet technology, and sheet metal structures. I bring deep understanding of the full product and production lifecycle — from 2D/3D design and prototyping, through fabrication and assembly, to commissioning and quality control. I’ve led factory-scale improvements, equipment integration, and international turnkey projects in Portugal, North Macedonia, and Germany. In the past 3 years, I’ve shifted focus toward advanced mechanical design for VTOL and multicopter drones, working as a core designer at Beagle Systems (Hamburg). My role includes CAD modeling (Catia, SolidWorks, Fusion 360), integration with electronics teams, and optimizing components for flight, weight, and manufacturability. Based in Hamburg, I’m open to new challenges in UAV, aerospace, robotics, or smart industrial manufacturing — where practical experience meets innovation.
