ABOUT DAMIEN MORRISON

I am based in Berlin, Germany and am passionate about building elegant web solutions. I love architecting solutions from the ground-up and relish the opportunity to work on exciting, new projects. My personal mission statement would be to work on the latest, coolest technology whilst producing efficient and elegant code. I\'ve been developing websites in ASP.NET, primarily C#, for the last 20 years. I began developing bespoke applications for smaller companies where I was responsible for the end-to-end solution. These experiences invoked my passion of building solutions from the ground-up. My career then moved into the DXP space and I began working on the EPiServer (now Optimizely) and Sitecore platforms. I have since gained extensive experience in this area specializing in CMS and Commerce. I have worked on many large-scale solutions across several industries, including retail, energy and telecommunications. My passion for elegant builds also steered me towards lead roles. This was mainly because I wanted to preserve a well-architected solution and hated seeing projects go off the rails. I also have an amiable, calm yet decisive personality so the role naturally suits me. The lead roles have recently transformed into managerial roles however I am still making a concerted effort to develop as this is where my true passion lies.
