ABOUT DAMIEN MARTINEZ

Hi, I am Damien Martinez, a full-stack web developer who has a strong passion for coding and solving complex problems. When I graduated from Cal State Fullerton, I knew I always wanted to keep learning and striving to improve myself. It is with this motivation, I decided to teach myself to code. My first introduction to coding was a Udemy course. This is where I got a taste of programming and knew that I loved it. After over 3 years of consistent self-education, I decided I wanted to go \'all in,\' in learning programming with a goal to be hired as a software developer. After 4 amazing years as a Recruitment Analyst and a Recruiter / Talent Relationship Supervisor at Helpmates Staffing, I decided to resign and commit to LearningFuze to learn software development. It was a tough decision to leave a career in an industry I have spent so much time learning, but it is a decision I knew I needed to make. While at LearningFuze, I am challenged every single day. I dedicate 10-12 hours each day to improving my skills and knowledge. LearningFuze has not only taught me technical skills like JavaScript, but they have also taught me to be more self-sufficient so that I can teach myself and find solutions. They have taught me to be a better and more confident programmer. I know that my journey to learn and improve is ongoing, but I am glad to see my improvement from this program. I am happy to be in an environment where I can indulge in my passions and I hope to soon work at a company where I can do the same.
