The switch to a degree in business administration gave me the solid background needed to later co-found and build a successful carpet cleaning business as a franchisee. There I developed firsthand insight in the day-to-day operations, challenges and specialized needs of small business owners. Fresh out of college, as a door-to-door water salesman, I enjoyed ample opportunity to practice persistence and follow-through, building a thick skin and engaging sales skills in an unforgiving business environment. As a franchise co-owner, I developed further initiative, sales skills and insight into the needs of the small business. The following position offered the opportunity to gain experience in sales within a corporate environment. Finally, launching a career in technology sales felt second nature and I knew that I had found my home. While I came to the job prepared with sales techniques, technical understanding and plenty of drive, WeddingWire was an excellent training ground, utilizing innovative strategies and company culture, all with the goal of team success. Although my career had been running on an exciting trajectory, WeddingWire helped me take it to a whole new level.
