ABOUT DAMIAN DELGADO
I don’t start with the brief. I start with the why. Most people hire a creative and hand them a deck. I’m the guy who asks to sit in on the strategy meeting first. Not because I’m difficult — because I’ve seen what happens when creative skips context. You get pretty work that says nothing. I’ve spent 10+ years bouncing between roles that didn’t have clean titles. Designer who became a strategist. Strategist who still shoots. Shooter who ends up in the boardroom. At PeakMade Real Estate, I came in to make things look good. Six years later, I’m running a full creative operation — campaigns, art direction, talent, events, the whole thing. Nobody asked me to grow it that way. I just couldn’t help it. Before that, at Phobio, I was running B2B marketing for a SaaS company, launching products, writing for the CEO, supporting board-level communications. I learned early that good creative isn’t a department. It’s a way of thinking that touches everything. I also shoot. Portraits, commercial, real estate, events — through my own freelance practice since 2016. There’s something about being the person behind the camera that keeps you honest. You can’t fake a good shot. Either the moment was there or it wasn’t. That’s kind of how I approach all of it, honestly. I care less about looking creative and more about whether it actually works. If you\'re building something that needs a creative who thinks just as hard as they create — I\'m always open to a good conversation.
