As a tenured sales professional and commercial leader, I realize the distinct difference between managing and leading and focus on mastering the latter.Graduating high school as an athlete, I was accepted to the University of South Carolina and secured a B.A. in Political Science. After sixteen years in Office Technology sales, I realized a gift for relationship building and retaining customers. Becoming a sales manager at the age of twenty-seven, without knowing the technical terms, I realized an even greater ability to build and lead sales teams. I was recruited into the Financial Services business as a national sales manager and eventual sales VP with GE Capital. Ten years later, I secured a role with De Lage Landen Financial services in a global relationship management position. I’ve held business meetings and delivered presentations in foreign languages and learned how to communicate cross culturally. My multi-cultural relationship building became the passion still driving me today to lead and mentor young professionals in today’s global business climate. In my fifteenth year with DLL Financial Services, I am currently SVP and Americas Region commercial sales lead in the Commercial Finance division. I have the pleasure to lead and learn from true sales professionals and masters of their crafts while developing young leaders internationally. I am currently enrolled in an online MBA program at The Citadel in Charleston South Carolina where I will use those credentials to one day fulfill a passion to give back teaching at the university level.
