About Damian Merimee

I\'m an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University\'s Max M. Fisher College of Business, where I\'m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting. In addition to my coursework, I was selected for the highly competitive Business Scholars Program, a cohort of 55 distinguished students engaged in collaborative projects and workshops designed to develop leadership, strategic thinking, and real-world problem-solving skills. As part of this experience, I had the opportunity to serve as a mentor, guiding first-year Business Scholars through academic and professional development challenges. I’ve also gained practical experience in public accounting through a tax internship with Crowe LLP in Miami, Florida. During my time with the firm, I contributed to the preparation and review of federal tax filings, including Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1040. Working with a diverse client base across corporate, partnership, and individual returns gave me a deeper understanding of complex tax structures and compliance requirements. I regularly collaborated with senior staff to resolve technical issues and ensure accurate, timely submissions- an experience that strengthened my attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. Building further on this foundation, this summer I will be joining Deloitte as a Tax Intern. I\'m excited to continue developing my technical expertise and gaining insight into the tax strategies and advisory services offered by one of the Big 4 firms. I am passionate about continuous learning and delivering meaningful, long-lasting results. As I move forward in my career, I’m eager to work with teams that value integrity, performance, and innovation.
