ABOUT DAMIAN LIMA HE
Damián Lima is an advocate for the health and rights of transgender, queer, and immigrant people. He graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor\'s degree in Women\'s and Gender Studies. His passion for LGBTQ and health issues has led him to work in various paid and unpaid roles including HIV and STI tester and counselor, Co-Chair of the Bayard Rusting Breakfast Committee, co-organizer of the second Gender Reel Film Festival in Boston, as well as numerous community-building events. In 2015 he was awarded the Network/La Red\'s community luminary Award, and in 2016 was recognized by Fenway Health for his contributions to the improvement of Transgender healthcare. He was the coordinator of the Health Promotion Center at Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center and served on the Health Equity Advisory Committee for the Boston Public Health Commission. He is currently pursuing and Masters of Public Health at Simmons University and working as the Director of Business Development at MaeBright LLC.
