ABOUT DAMI FOLAYAN
I am an academically astute researcher currently undertaking my PhD at the University of Cambridge. I am passionate about social justice and creatively engaging audiences from a variety of backgrounds. I utilise poetry and other creative art forms in my research to communicate my assertions in an evocative and succinct manner. I am eager to widen participation in HE and interested in working to change the statistics around the lack of black female academics within the UK. I work as a student consultant to the University of Cambridge postgraduate admission team and am also Research Assistant on the Close the Gap research project that seeks to investigate admissions gaps in underrepresented groups.
