ABOUT DAMARIS GARCIA

Currently I work in the Customer Experience Strategy & Design department at a large utility company leading experience design workshops with cross functional teams ensuring that the customer journey, regardless of channel, will drive business decisions that lead to increase in customer satisfaction. I have experience working in legal offices specializing in civil litigation, workers compensation, and in a corporate legal department at a utility company. I have experience with legal research, preparation of legal documents, and general administrative office duties. I have volunteered time working with the Public Counsel in downtown Los Angeles on pro bono adoption cases and assisted as a translator for our clients. I also have worked in IT Operations for over three years where I gained experience and expertise in all Microsoft Office programs. I also have experience with Active Directories, email servers, Windows OS, installation of hardware and software, and break/fix issues. I have advanced proficiency in multimedia software such as: Adobe Photoshop, Roxio Creator, MixMister, Camtasia and FoxTab Audio Converter. Currently, I work in customer experience management where I work closely with executive management of all customer-facing organizations within the company to address low customer satisfaction scores to develop new innovative initiatives to improve our customers\' experience and gain employee engagement. I have volunteered at a non-profit organization called Dance For Peace producing charity events and have appeared in two Spanish television commercials for SCE advising customers about safety around electricity.
