About Dalvin Perez

Dalvin Perez Casilla is a fourth-year student at the Kogod School of Business, majoring in business administration and specializing in entrepreneurship. Born in the Dominican Republic, he attended high school in Lynn, Massachusetts, where he was accepted into the La Vida Scholars college prep program for high-achieving students. Dalvin came to American University through the Center for Diversity and Inclusion’s Summer Transition Enrichment Program and remains actively involved. At AU, Dalvin co-founded Latinos En Acción and the Student Organization of Latinos in Business; is a Founding Brother of the Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc; serves as president of the Intercultural Greek Collective; and is Assistant General Manager of The Bridge Cafe. Dalvin’s passion for entrepreneurship and food fuels his ambition of becoming a socially minded restaurateur. He is chief executive officer of Loco’s Cuisine, an online platform featuring homemade Dominican dishes, and is developing a cookbook. Dalvin plans to attend culinary school and leverage his AU experience to innovate the restaurant industry, addressing food insecurity and long-term sustainability by creating a franchise for social change. Presently looking for any opportunity that would help cultivate and further hone skills in Retail, Media, Restaurant Industry, and Entrepreneurship. My hobbies include skiing, tennis, yoga, painting, traveling, and cooking.
