My role combines deep technical expertise with a consultative approach, supporting clients through all stages of their lifecycle, from startup and expansion to M&A and liquidity events.Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage corporate and partnership tax compliance and consulting engagements for clients in the technology and innovation industry, with additional experience in construction and related industries. • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering proactive communication and timely, high-quality service. • Provide tax planning and advisory services, including entity selection and structuring for Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) under §1202, and tax modeling in M&A transactions. • Conduct and review tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-deal integration planning, including §382 limitation analysis. • Review and analyze complex issues including §174 R&D capitalization, §163(j) interest limitations, multi-state apportionment and nexus, equity-based compensation, and international considerations. • Guide clients through the intricacies of partnership taxation, including §704(b), 734, and 754 adjustments. • Prepare and review corporate and partnership income tax returns and ASC 740 audit tax provisions, ensuring compliance with professional and firm standards. • Supervise and mentor staff and seniors, providing training and support to help them grow into trusted client advisors. • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and collaborate across departments to bring value-added insight to our clients.
