About Dalton Blandford
I am Dalton Blandford, a dedicated student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. Throughout my academic journey, I have maintained a strong GPA of 3.70, earning me a place on the Dean\'s List from Fall 2020 to the present and the President\'s List in Spring 2023. I am also honored to have been awarded the Presidential Merit Scholarship. During my time at Texas Tech, I have actively engaged in campus life and demonstrated leadership within the Sigma Chi Fraternity. As the House Manager, I managed the fraternity\'s grounds, through effective communication and organization with chapter members, executive boards, advisors, and the National Housing Board. Taking on the role of Magister, I further developed my leadership skills and contributed to the fraternity\'s success. Working closely with officers and committee members, I play a pivotal role in planning and executing various events, fundraisers, community service initiatives, and social functions. Guiding new members through their initiation process fostering a strong sense of brotherhood. As an active member of the Texas Tech Supply Chain Association, I have expanded my knowledge and network in the field of supply chain management. Attending meetings and engaging with reputable supply chain companies has provided me with valuable insights and connections. In terms of work experience, I have gained practical skills in different roles. During my time as a Merchandise Manager at Reed Beverage, Inc, I communicated effectively and organized the inventory of a vast warehouse distributing over products. At Greg Lair Buick GMC, I served as a Detail Technician, ensuring high-quality delivery to customers. Currently, I am working in a summer internship role as a Supply Chain Intern at Bell Textron Inc. This opportunity allows me to further develop my skills and knowledge in the field. I have already presented a business case to upper management, highlighting the potential benefits of implementing a program manager in the VMI department. Additionally, I am coordinating social events and collaborating with a team to improve lead-time updates for distributors. Overall, my academic achievements, leadership roles, campus involvement, and diverse work experiences have equipped me with a well-rounded skill set and a strong foundation in supply chain management. I am dedicated, academically accomplished, and passionate about making a positive impact in the field.
