SCOPE: Drove end-to-end delivery performance improvements across Walmart Marketplace, leading initiatives to reduce delivery estimates, meet on-time delivery metrics from 3rd-party sellers, improve speed-to-customer, and deliver a seamless customer experience that matches the quality and speed of Walmart.com. ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT: Tested and launched the Automated Shipping Settings pilot to automate delivery date calculations through carrier transit data and transition from manual processes. Led go-to-market efforts for full-scale rollout to all sellers, streamlining shipping setup and ensuring accurate delivery dates, reducing the gap between promised delivery dates vs. actual delivery dates and improving percent of on-time orders to buyers. Participated in the launch of Simplified Shipping Settings platform in collaboration with the project owner, leveraging insights from the Automated Shipping Settings project to maximize shipping performance. Incorporated advanced machine learning to analyze historical shipping trends and carrier performance, further reducing the gap between promised and actual delivery dates. Conducted seller interviews, demos, and onboarding for ~5K sellers, trained customer support and account management teams, and implemented feedback to optimize adoption, enabling sellers to achieve up to a 15% sales lift per day. Optimized handling times for custom or special orders by auditing approved handling time exemptions against actual handling times and balancing seller flexibility with accuracy to improve delivery estimates and build buyer trust. Gathered customer feedback during product launch to uncover design flaws and enable rapid corrective action.
