About Daliya Wallenstein
I’m a senior at Emory University studying Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Architectural Studies. I am passionate about speech-language pathology, neurodiversity, accessibility, and inclusive communication. My academic and professional work focuses on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and autism research. I’m currently completing an honors thesis exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping AAC, with the goal of creating a practical guide for AAC communities. As a research fellow at the Marcus Autism Center, I analyze diagnostic tools and AI speech recognition for autistic individuals. Beyond research, I have worked directly with nonspeaking autistic students as an Adaptive Learning Specialist. My long-term goal is to work at the intersection of communication science, disability advocacy, and technology — making systems more human, accessible, and just. Always happy to connect!
