I was the Lead PA responsible for building our team of 8 PAs and NPs in Trauma/Emergency Surgery/Surgical Critical Care, taking it from one PA to the 8 APPs we now have. I am responsible for scheduling, training, and mentorship. I am the Clinical Coordinator for the PA and NP students that rotate through our service. I am the first and only PA to hold a position on the HSHS St. John’s Hospital Credentials Committee. I am charged with training the new hire PA and NPs, and wrote the onboarding and training manual for our service. I also lead a group of PAs that advocate for the PA profession, called the PA Universe. We have a YouTube channel as well as a presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
