Manages product acceptance operations and initiates policy. Manages the development of product acceptance schedules to satisfy internal and external customer needs.•Ensures that appropriate controls and corrective measures meet applicable quality standards and that documentation is compliant with all requirements.•Drives rigor into quality systems and business process improvements. •Determines optimum product acceptance manpower based on workloads and plant performance compared to schedule requirements.•Maintains close liaison with manufacturing support and purchased material organizations to assure achievement of quality, cost, and schedule objectives.•Manages product acceptance material storage activities, facilities and controls.•Leads special projects, such as, Union Contract Negotiations, improving COI acceptance, improving the acceptance process, etc.•Interacts with NWC counterparts, and helps develop and implement quality assurance programs, policies and processes for the plant in addition to product acceptance operations.•Develops strategic initiatives for quality and evaluates the skill/mix to support product acceptance requirements.•Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems•Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS & E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to \"stop\" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified and when quality standards are not being met.
