ABOUT DALE CAMPBELL
I’m currently working towards an MSc in Management and Marketing at the University of Dundee, where I’m developing the practical and strategic skills needed to support and grow organisations. I’m particularly interested in management and strategy, and how fresh ideas can be turned into sustainable business growth while still putting people first.Alongside my studies, I’ve recently begun an internship with the MKM Dundee Stars Ice Hockey Club, supporting the team behind the scenes across a range of business and brand-focused activities. It’s been a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional sports environment, and to learn how a club operates beyond what fans see on the ice. With a genuine passion for ice hockey, this is an area I’m keen to build my future career in.I also bring over ten years of experience in retail, primarily with Tesco, where I currently work as a Customer Assistant. Alongside my day-to-day role, I regularly take on shift-leading responsibilities, supporting operations and assisting the management team when needed. I also represented colleagues as a USDAW Union Rep, a role that strengthened my confidence, communication skills, and ability to advocate for others in the workplace.Before my master’s degree, I completed a BA in History and Politics at the University of Dundee, graduating with a 2:1. This background helped me develop strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, which I now combine with my management and marketing studies.Outside of work and university, I’m a writer with a strong interest in ice hockey, football, music, and film. I enjoy covering developing stories, producing analysis, and writing opinion-led pieces. Whatever the setting, I value clear communication, teamwork, and making a meaningful contribution.
