About Dalaney Mitchell
Hi! My name is Dalaney Mitchell and I am a Sophomore at Duke University. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Psychology, with a certificate in Markets & Management, as well as Child Policy Research, on the Pre-Law track.I am interested in pursuing a career as a lawyer and hope to gain experience in the realm of legal scholarship and law. This past summer, I interned at Seth M. Woodall’s law office in Eden, NC where I worked on both the paperwork side of real estate law, as well as shadowing criminal proceedings. Currently I am the inaugural intern at The Standard Agency, an Advertising Agency based in Raleigh. This position nurtures my interest in marketing and business as well as problem solving in a team. This summer I am interning at Brock & Scott, PLLC, a financial law firm based in Winston Salem, NC. Brock & Scott works primarily in Creditors’ Rights and Collections, and I am excited to join the team.At Duke University I am primarily involved in the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, Duke Undergraduate Law Review, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Duke Recreation, as a lifeguard and swim instructor, Duke Women’s Club Volleyball, Cru Campus Ministry, DukeLIFE Mentoring, and babysitting for Sudents Who Sit.I am very excited for the experiences and opportunities that this upcoming year at Duke will bring. I hope to continue discovering my passions and goals, as well as implementing habits and activities to aid in achieving them!
