I’m a Data Engineering Manager by title, but I operate as an Enterprise Architect in practice. I sit right in that \"manager-doer\" sweet spot, I set the high-level technical vision for our cloud platforms, but I still love getting my hands dirty building POCs and writing core integrations to make sure the architecture actually holds up.My background across the data ecosystem is pretty broad. I’ve spent the last several years migrating heavy legacy systems (like Hadoop and mainframes) over to modern, decoupled AWS environments. Whether it\'s designing sub-second streaming architecture with Kafka and Kinesis, or figuring out the best way to orchestrate massive batch workloads with Spark and Glue, my goal is always the same: build it to scale, enforce strong data governance, and keep cloud costs from spiralling. Right now, I’m heavily focused on two things: shaping how we integrate GenAI (like Amazon Bedrock) into real-world business applications, and figuring out how to make my engineering teams faster. By bringing tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot into our daily workflow, we\'ve been able to cut out the boilerplate and just focus on solving hard problems. I care about choosing the right tool for the job, minimizing tech debt, and leading teams that build reliable, high-performance data platforms.
