JD candidate Radford University Alumna ‘23 I B.S in Criminal Justice & Psychology My desire to practice law, derives from my interest in sociological functions and having a direct placement in the operational functions of society. Upon the completion of my Juris Doctor degree, I hope to work with companies and organizations to bridge the socioeconomic gaps between corporations/organizations, the law, and inner cities with overwhelming marginalized demographics. I will concentrate my efforts on the expansion of resources to Black communities, to further aid in eradication of large racial disparities in legal affairs. Because of the influence that businesses have on populations that are not afforded the opportunity to represent themselves in the everyday robust endeavors that affect their livelihood, a vast majority of decisions are made for individuals on a day-to-day basis by companies and corporations, with little to no knowledge of the impact that their decisions have on these individuals. The Marxist theory holds that capitalist like societies are sure to fail if the 99% of the population without direct placement in their decisions are frustrated with the effects of their running. In turn, I wish to use my privilege of education to place myself as the necessary link to slow down these effects.
