About E. Daisy Klaber

I\'ve brought a variety of talents and interests to VPO since 2006, when we were known as The Simplex Group, Inc. In my role as Administration & Communications Coordinator, I enjoy helping our WBE improve collaboration and problem solving among groups of people through the creative use of technology, and I like spreading the word about our flexible, cloud-based project management solution for construction teams.Before becoming interested in architecture, engineering, and construction, I earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Linguistics while teaching part-time at a local Montessori school. Having also attended a Montessori school myself as a kid, I decided to study its principles and methods by completing Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) training and earning an M.Ed. with an emphasis in Montessori Education.I loved the creative process of observing, analyzing, brainstorming, and strategizing, and then preparing spaces that met individual students’ needs and set them up for success and enjoyment in their learning. After directing several classroom environments for young children, I served on Greater Pittsburgh Montessori Society’s Board of Directors for four years. Selected in 2009 as one of Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP’s 40 Under 40 honorees, I also created Household Harmony, an award-winning family-activities company that offered Music Together classes and events. I started FREEbo too-a fun Facebook group for giving and getting free stuff in Lebo.Having served as a leader in various nonprofit organizations-and having worked, in the 1900s, as an event planner after earning an Associate\'s Degree in Travel & Hospitality Management-I now manage my kids’ soccer and futsal teams, chair the PTA\'s spelling bee, volunteer as Marketing & Communications Chair and Swim Team Chair on Woodland Hills Club\'s board, and serve the Three Rivers Chapter of Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) as Communications & Publicity Chair.

   I serve as a team communicator and I help coordinate our marketing efforts. Formerly an event planner, a Montessori teacher, and a business owner offering music classes for families, I also coordinate the execution and delivery of a variety of administrative activities and services-from planning events to carrying out our HR policies and initiatives. Serving AEC customers as part of our team since 2006, I\'m proud to be a VPO-riginal!
