Veterinary Outreach and Partnership Director @Pet Insurance Review

I was astonished to learn that less than 2% of pets in the US are insured, in stark contrast to the almost 40% in the UK. As a lifelong veterinary professional, I found this statistic intriguing and wanted to understand the reasons behind such a significant difference, especially considering that nearly 90% of Americans own a pet and consider them as family members. The concept of pet insurance immediately made sense to me, as I have personally witnessed clients facing difficult decisions when confronted with unexpected medical expenses for their pets. Moreover, I have seen firsthand the toll that financial constraints can take on medical teams, and most importantly, I have witnessed pets not receiving the adequate care they deserve due to these constraints.Driven by these experiences, I am on a mission to educate as many veterinary clinics as possible about the benefits of advocating for pet insurance. With pet insurance, medical teams can confidently recommend gold standard treatment without the burden of financial constraints, clients can have peace of mind knowing their beloved pets are protected, financial targets can be met organically, and insurance providers can be held accountable for the consumer experience.To further my mission, I have partnered with Pet Insurance Review, a consumer-driven platform with over verified pet parent reviews. This platform was created by pet parents for pet parents, and together, we aim to expand efforts in providing consumer-based reviews for all pet insurance providers. Our collaboration seeks to offer transparency on coverage and cost details, empowering pet parents to make informed decisions about their pets\' insurance coverage.
