ABOUT DAISUKE KAWAKAMI

Hello, I am Daisuke Kawakami, a dedicated engineer and innovator specializing in Analytical and Clinical Chemistry. After completing my master\'s degree, I began my career at Shimadzu Corporation, where I have had the opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge technologies. As a development leader, I have focused on creating clinical chemistry analyzer, Coagulation analyzer, and fully automated LCMS systems. My contributions also include the development of PCR kits (COVID-19 testing and genes associated with stroke susceptibility). Throughout my career, I have managed numerous collaborative research projects, both domestically and internationally, which have resulted in the filing of 14 patents. In March 2022, while advancing my professional journey, I earned my Ph.D. in Medicine from Nagoya University. In April 2022, I transferred to Shimadzu Corporation\'s European Headquarters as the European Clinical Marketing Manager. Since April 2025, as Head of the Clinical MS Solutions Center, I oversee clinical MS marketing strategies not only for Europe but globally. Concurrently, I serve as a part-time director at Shimadzu Chemistry and Diagnostics formerly Biomaneo), a Shimadzu subsidiary, contributing to innovation and business growth by leveraging my expertise. I am passionate about making a meaningful impact in the healthcare technology sector and look forward to continuing this journey of innovation and collaboration.
