ABOUT DAIANA LILO
Hi everyone! Pershendetje te gjitheve! Привет всем!My name is Daiana Lilo and I am currently a 2L at Tulane Law School and a recent graduate of Harvard College with a degree in Government and Data Science and a language citation in Russian. Formerly, I was a paralegal at Trachtenberg & Arena, LLP, a boutique Manhattan law firm specializing in commercial law and litigation. My experience includes work in practice areas such as Securities and Investment Claims, Corporate Government Disputes, Commercial and Contract Litigation, etc.My academic interests lie heavily in American politics, with a particular focus in judicial politics, data science, and decision-making. I use statistical modeling, such as regression analysis, decision trees, and random forests, to make predictions on how political actors are meant to behave according to gathered data. For my undergraduate thesis, titled \"Personality and Prediction: Using Statistical Modeling and Trait Analysis to Explain Judicial Decision-Making in the Supreme Court,\" I created algorithms that would predict how Justices of the Supreme Court would vote on certain issue topics based on their personality traits. I utilized textual analysis software that derived these personality traits from the language used by a Justice in their oral arguments. Outside of the classroom, I am an advocate for Undocumented/Dacamented/Stateless/Refugee individuals, being stateless and a DACA recipient myself. I work closely with groups such as United Stateless, the office of The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the European Network on Stateless, Refugee Congress and more to bring awareness to the refugee and statelessness crisis found in the United States.
