System-wide planning - from system expansions to station access to station enhancements, all with partners along the corridor4. Policy Development - analysis and policy development for Caltrain, including in collaboration with regional partnersIn addition to leading the department, I\'m currently spending much of my time on the Downtown Extension (DTX) project and Railyards development project (both in San Francisco), Diridon Integrated Station Concept (San Jose), and a corridor-wide strategy examining at-grade crossings, as well as several activities supporting completion of the electrification project.

ABOUT DAHLIA CHAZAN
I\'m a Bay Area-based urban planner. I came to planning after studying ecology as an undergrad, wanting to understand how land use impacted the resources I cared about. Planning has given me the tools to understand how our choices as a society impact people and the planet, as well as opportunities to make my own positive impact on those choices. Starting in the mid-2010s, I began to focus more on transportation, especially public transit, and am now lucky to lead the planning department for Caltrain.
