About Dagny Ranney Birkerts

I am a rising Senior at Tulane University pursuing a dual major in Finance and Legal Studies in Business with a minor in Psychology. I enjoy challenges, am inquisitive, and I am an extremely hard worker. I also enjoy developing positive and long-lasting relationships. I have learned through playing sports, holding jobs, and taking classes that I enjoy a mix of interpersonal, leadership, and time management challenges. I also have experience in collaboration and communication in high-stress situations through years of playing ice hockey and wilderness tripping. My interests in Finance and Psychology intersect with a deep interest in behavioral finance. I have always been drawn to learning about how the economy works, how businesses function, and why businesses and people make the decisions that they do. Outside of school, I enjoy physical exercise; coming from playing three varsity sports in high school, daily movement has become a habit. I also enjoy traveling and exploring New Orleans and Madrid currently. I love reading and listening to podcasts, my favorites being The Skinny Confidential and the Morning Brew. I appreciate the opportunity to connect and look forward to expanding my network and learning!
