I have been a founder & entrepreneur and bring over two decades of experience, at over a dozen companies, spanning three states, through various positions ranging from Sr. Software Engineer, Solution Architect, Director of Technology and most recently Chief Technology Officer of the industry leading cloud brokerage ComputeNext. Most notably I was founder #2 of WildTangent and #4 at LockdownNetworks (later acquired by McAfee) where we created Lockdown Enforcer, the category-defining Network Access Control appliance. I believe elegant code is an art-form and enjoy mentoring developers to write it with the same passion. My expertise is in “viewing the big picture” and adapting battle-tested practices to grow start-ups into multi-million dollar enterprises. I hold Patent No. US 8,244,589 B2.I\'ve been coding professionally since 1995. In that time I\'ve coded GUI front ends, SQL back-ends, 3D games, CRMs, Bug trackers, enterprise level NAC appliances, social networks and various intranet custom web tools. Although I am still a novice, I have a strong desire to master Android Java coding and have started developing an app in my previous spare time before becoming a CTO.I am as comfortable as a team lead and manager as I am following orders although I prefer to be the lead architect and coder. I thrive on building projects from scratch and watching it evolve and grow.Skills include: common sense, automation, efficient solutions, architecture, optimization, team leading and management, attention to detail, mentoring, LLMs. I\'m well rounded and can accomplish all aspects of a challenge from documentation, ticket creation (epic to spike), coding, infrastructure, UI/UX, etc.I am an excellent engineer. My specialties are in automation and back-end work. I build infrastructure in AWS with Terraform. These days I have realized that my roll has evolved to that of a software architect with Copilot/LLM and \"Let the robots do the work\". Obviously my current employer is a nod to the TV show Severance. I did this because I get too many spam calls (how they get my direct phone is still a mystery) asking if I\'m hiring or trying to sell me either services. I am quite happy at my current employer; but they are not someplace I share publicly. Also because there are too many weirdo people on the internet and I\'ve had some red-hat types threaten to contact them (luckily my precautions were in place and they end up contacting me indirectly or a fictitious company). I post this here because they\'re generally not bright enough to read this far, but you are.
