   As a Capacity Building Specialist (CBA) for AIDS United, I am able to help State Health Departments, Local Health Departments, AIDS Service Organizations, and Community Partners build upon existing strengths in community-based HIV and STI prevention activities across the nation. Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art comprehensive services for HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), Post-Exposure Prophyaxis (PEP), and STI prevention while considering the social determinants of health and the many barriers faced by marginalized communities.I excel in coalition building, training development and implementation, facilitation of large and small scale institutes from 20 to 200 people, in-person, virtually or hybrid. Other responsibilities include: Project reporting to the CDC, grant writing, grant reporting, and program budgeting.The Washington University in St. Louis Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) and Prevention Training Center programs build upon existing strengths in community-based HIV and STI prevention activities to provide state-of-the-art comprehensive services for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post-exposure.prophyaxis (PEP), and STI prevention. I work with a network of collaborative partners, are ideally positioned to provide technical assistance to nonclinical sites for HIV prevention in high-priority HIV-negative communities as well as clinical and non-clinical sites for STI prevention, testing and treatment. I am able to collaborate with state and local health departments and community-based organizations to provide technical assistance for conducting staff awareness events, community events, organizational activities, creating PrEP navigation services, and developing compassionate referral systems for linkage to PrEP care.
