ABOUT DAEMI GEORGE

I am a Self-Described Multipotentialite, who’s interests has led me to numerous engagements of which I was able to positively impact my surroundings, and grow in my skills in each one of the various fields consequently. I worked with a team of Engineers as an Engineering intern at Quest Oil and Engineering based in Nigeria, where we successfully carried out documentation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Diesel and Gas Powered Generators across the country, with our main operations being concentrated in the power plant around the Head Office in Lagos, where we were located, as well as helping in the maintenance of Lube Manufacturing Facilities, and Oil Tanks. I was privileged to be the Head of the Student Body Association in my High School were I worked with a team of students to ensure student safety and self-fulfillment on Campus. I have also been privileged to work in the capacity of General Secretary and Lead Trainer in my Universities Literary and Debating Society where I worked on the documentation of events and to teach incumbents the principles of British Parliamentary style debating. I was the Vice-Chair of a Committee put together to plan and execute my Universities CollegeWeek Program in the 2020/2021 Academic Session, where I lead alongside my Chairperson a team of outstanding students in the preparation for and execution of the program. I was also privileged to serve as the Rapporteur to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in a Model United Nations Conference held by my University (Covenant International Model United Nations) held in June 2023, where I learned under experienced individuals the functions of an executive during an MUN Conference, as well as skills such as Public Speaking, Team Management, Teamwork, Delegation e.t.c. I was also privileged to be a Co-Captain in my Universities Basketball Team, where as Captains; we were able to help assimilate incumbents into the basketball community and facilitate their progress through hosting regularly scheduled trainings. Most of the engagements above where done whilst completing my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Covenant University, finishing with a First (1st) Class Degree.
