Responsible for controlling and managing costs, and providing outstanding operations support to Safestore teams throughout Europe: UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. Proactively supporting the businesses performance by assisting colleagues within stores and field teams, whilst working collaboratively with other central functions enabling the smooth and effective operation of the business.Accountability for budget control and all operational purchasing including Insurance, Utilities, Vehicle Fleet, Merchandise / Packaging Materials, Waste and Goods Not for Resale. Working to enhance existing and new supplier relationships, helping to minimise risk, and ensuring value for money for the business across all procurement for products and services. Overseeing central communication and workload issued to store teams, supporting the delivery of change programmes and initiatives across the business to drive performance, efficiency, and sustainability including new store openings across Europe. Ensuring compliance across areas of responsibility for both internal and external legislative requirements. Leading on environmental sustainability in reporting and data collection, decarbonisation, and waste management, as well GHG and ESOS compliance. Member of the Safestore Health and Safety Committee, and Safestore Sustainability Group.
