About Daniel Hennessey

I’m an engineer in RTX’s Engineering Leadership Development Program, rotating across Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, and Raytheon to build a foundational understanding of the aerospace and defense industry - technically, operationally, and strategically. This program is helping me develop the skills to lead cross functional teams and support complex projects with real business impact. What drives me is uncovering how complex systems work together and how engineering connects to business performance, customer value, and product lifecycle. I’m passionate about solving real world challenges through collaboration and designing systems that serve high stakes customers - from commercial sectors to mission critical defense operations. I thrive on linking engineering with customer needs and big picture strategy.I enjoy diving into the architecture of complex products, analyzing failure trends, and finding smarter ways to design, operate, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. Before joining RTX full time, I interned with GE Appliances and GE Aerospace. Those experiences helped shape my passion for complex products, cross functional problem solving, and understanding how different parts of a business come together to serve the end user. They laid the foundation for the engineer and leader I aspire to be: someone who understands systems deeply, fosters collaboration, and drives meaningful business progress.
