About D D Gautam
Combining strong technical expertise with financial acumen, I bring an interdisciplinary academic background encompassing an M.Tech in CAD, an MBA in Finance, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. My early research and engineering foundation was strengthened through the design and development of a lab-scale gas turbine engine, an experience that sparked my long-term interest in energy systems and applied thermal sciences. I have further refined my academic and instructional capabilities through professional engagements at Kolkata.Currently, I am working as a Research Fellow and pursuing PhD-level research in the domain of sustainable energy and water technologies, with a focus on solar thermal systems, atmospheric water generation, and desiccant-based energy systems. My research integrates computational fluid dynamics (CFD), machine learning–based data-driven modeling, and rigorous experimental investigation to address real-world challenges in energy efficiency and resource sustainability.Driven by a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and translational research, I aim to bridge the gap between theoretical modeling and practical implementation. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary collaborations that combine engineering science, data-driven intelligence, and techno-economic perspectives to deliver scalable and impactful solutions.I am keen to connect with researchers, institutions, and organizations working at the intersection of renewable energy, water sustainability, and advanced thermal systems to collaboratively advance solutions for a resilient and low-carbon future.
