Technology advances in the world of close observations continue to evolve, Drones. As an early adopter of digital technology, and before retirement, my 2nd chapter goal needed to be ground floor, different and unique.I became a Commercial Drone Pilot. My choice was akin to experiencing the personal computer revolution of the ’70s (you remember 8-track, VCRs, dialog modems, and fax machines). I have been an instructor at Eastern Michigan University for the past 25 years, teaching networking, telecommunications, and Information technology. I spent the last three years honing my flying skills. Add to that drone education, training, licensing, and certifications to become a freelance FAA part 107 sUAS Drone pilot and certified sUAV Thermographer. FlyyGuyzz ‘s birth evolved based on that knowledge, experience, and background. Currently, my aerial inspection services are directed at commercial property roofing. The market pulls us towards inspecting Cell Towers and the Telecommunications Industry installations with the evolving 5G mobility network, which certainly keeps me on my toes.
