About Cyril J. Clement
As a double major in Environmental Studies and Medical Anthropology & Global Health, with a minor in Urban Planning & Design, my academic focus lies in the intersections of climate resilience, public health, and urban environments. My experience includes contributing to climate adaptation and disaster resilience initiatives through qualitative research, regulatory analysis, GIS-based mapping, community engagement, and report writing. I am or have been involved in projects on community-based climate resilience, green stormwater infrastructure for climate adaptation, urban redevelopment, and health equity, among others. Through applied projects and internships, I have translated qualitative, spatial, and regulatory analysis into clear, actionable insights for public-sector, nonprofit, academic, and community partners and decision-makers. I bring strengths in GIS, 3D design, qualitative and mixed-methods research, regulatory, land use, and zoning analysis, market research, community engagement, feasibility studies, technical writing, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I am comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced, team-based environments.I am currently seeking opportunities in urban planning and environmental consulting, particularly roles focused on climate resilience, environmental planning, and community engagement. I am motivated by work that centers equity, strengthens local capacity, and turns research into real-world impact. Through my further studies and career, I plan to work closely with communities to design interventions and policies that advance climate resilience and community well-being. I co-founded this student organization with the goal of bringing together students from various academic disciplines to collectively engage with environmental issues. I built a leadership team that reflects the diverse interests and skill sets needed for effective interdisciplinary collaboration. I spearheaded outreach initiatives to generate awareness, promote our organization\'s mission, and increase membership through strategic communication channels. Climate Collaboratory provides members with the resources and support they need to build and work in interdisciplinary teams and undertake small-scale projects that address local environmental issues. I have facilitated the planning of various events that connect members with policymakers, activists, scholars, engineers, and other individuals working on addressing climate change in various fields.
