Responsible for developing an appropriate risk framework for various projects/business units and ensure it is operated appropriately by;Ensuring our Risk Framework remains fit for purpose and aligns with the UK Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework and ensuring that risks are appropriately identified, assessed, managed and monitored within various projects and Business Units.Engaging regularly with senior management to ensure that risk appetite is understood and is properly reflected in our operating standards and project procedures.Reviewing the effectiveness of the risk process / approach being adopted through innovation and continuous improvement.Maintaining market and product knowledge to understand the environment our business units operates within and how new risks might emerge.Maintaining, collating and analysing Key Risk Indicators, and using them to flag concerns to management and to Corporate Risk function.Coordinating and managing documentation and output in relation to the risk framework within the business unit by;Ensuring that there is an audit trail to demonstrate regular reviews of risks and associated controls and other mitigation actions by risk ownersRegular management information reporting to senior management and to the Corporate Risk function on the output of the risk and control assessments, risk events, KRIs and other, risk analysis conducted.Developing strong working relationships with Corporate functions including Risk, Compliance, and Audit as well as other business areas, in order to ensure a regular exchange of information on key issues and changes affecting the business by;Implementing and following through on any changes to our Risk Management Framework, including changes to the Risk Appetite Framework or to Corporate Policies.Liaising with stakeholders within projects/business to obtain risk management information, particularly from risk owners, control owners and action / mitigation owners.
