As a Clinician Scientist, I bridge the worlds of vision science, clinical research, and translational innovation. I have overall responsibility for driving the clinical strategy, leading cross-functional clinical teams through all phases of development, from evidence generation and clinical trial design to product registration and lifecycle management.My expertise spans project management, clinical development, clinical study design, programming in MATLAB, Medical affairs, regulatory knowledge, advanced statistics, visual neuroscience, retinal pathobiology and high-resolution ophthalmic imaging (AOSLO, OCT)My PhD research was the first to record single cone–targeted responses in V1 neurons and to map cone-sized receptive fields in V1 using AOSLO : a milestone toward understanding how cone signals are delineated in V1.Earlier in my career, I explored diverse areas of vision science, including cataracts and driving simulation studies, retinal degenerations (RP), glaucoma, and low vision rehabilitation through visual prostheses technologies such as BrainPort.I am passionate about advancing ophthalmic innovation through science, clinical excellence, and strategic collaboration; thus translating discovery into meaningful patient impact.
