Professional Profile I am pleased to add member of the board of the Norristown Branch of the Montgomery County Public library to my community commitments. Public education ( NASD board member) and public literacy are an important combination for a strong community.My professional career has been dedicated to the research and practice of methods and curriculum to create successful programs for students with special needs in grades 6 through 12 in both public and approved private schools. I have experience with diverse learning populations including: Navajo students with special needs, students with non-verbal learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, learning disabilities, and students in the legal system awaiting adjudication. I presented an in-service on the topic of autism to the special education department of the Page Unified School District in Page, Arizona.April of 2010 presenter at CEC,Atlanta conference. Topic: Coaching as a strategy for supporting students on the spectrum in college, Masters Degree in Teaching and Bachelors Degree in English.View education as an adventure for both my students and myself.
