My commitment to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) began 20 years ago. I currently serve as a member of their National Council, an advisory group to the board, composed of distinguished scientific, business, political and philanthropic leaders from across the country. I played an integral role in investigating and launching WWF’s Northern Great Plains restoration project (NGP), our nation’s largest restoration project in the lower 48 states, and I now serve on the NGP Leadership Committee. NGP’s impact is far-reaching. By restoring large sections of land to its environmental integrity, it plays an important role in mitigating climate change and boosting the economic and cultural wealth of the region’s inhabitants, including native tribes and ranchers.ABOUT THE WORLD WILDLIFE FUNDThe World Wildlife Fund (WWF) works to conserve the world’s most important natural places and significantly change global market forces to protect the future of nature.
