Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the Department of Campus Recreation, monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement, including the development of future staffing and financial requirements.• Primary manager of facility operations and maintenance for Nimocks Fitness Center, a square foot building including free weight area, private Group Fitness room, indoor track, and two (2) free play courts; manages all facility reservations online for the fitness center as well as two (2) outdoor fields, two (2) outdoor basketball courts, and a sand volleyball court.• Develops and maintains operating budget of and provides accountability for all purchases and spending related to Nimocks Fitness Center operations, Intramural Sports events and programs, Outdoor Adventures activities, and Group Fitness classes.• Hires, trains, and supervises all part- and full-time professional staff members, including two coordinators and an Assistant Director, as well as a staff of 25 student employees.• Facilitates a wide variety of high-quality fitness and wellness activities by developing and implementing a comprehensive program calendar that encourages a healthier lifestyle and enhances the quality of life for the entire campus community.• Advises the Assistant Director to ensure the success of the Intramural Sports program which currently offers more than 20 sports/recreational activities and serves over 400 unique students, faculty, and staff in the Methodist community.• Oversees Collegiate Recovery Services (est. 2023) for both Methodist University and Fayetteville Technical Community College, funded through the NC Department of Health and Human Services Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services grant.
