Credited for work on Lost Child: Sayon\'s Journey, broadcast on WNET (New York), April 2015; and Quakers: The Quiet Revolutionaries, broadcast on WHYY (Philadelphia), October 2019, and distributed by American Public Television through August of 2022 and PBS International through 20••••16: Concert staging, Haydn\'s \"L\'Isola disabitata\" for American Classical Orchestra (February 23, Alice Tully Hall) 2014: Concert staging, Handel\'s \"Alceste\" for American Classical Orchestra (March 19, Alice Tully Hall) Cynthia Edwards has staged new productions of Il Trovatore for Florida Grand Opera, Tosca for OperaDelaware, Carmen for Baltimore Opera, Macbeth, Carmen and Eugene Onegin for Anchorage Opera, Die Zauberflöte for Stageworks in Washington, DC, and six productions for Harrisburg Opera. Concert stagings include Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona with the Carmel Bach Festival and Handel\'s Alceste, Andre Grétry’s Richard Coeur de Lion and Zémire et Azor with the American Classical Orchestra in New York. An in-house stage director with New York City Opera from 1988 until the company\'s closing in 2013, Ms. Edwards mounted revivals of Jonathan Eaton’s production of Carmen, Frank Corsaro’s Tosca, Die Tote Stadt and L\'heure espagnole/L\'enfant et les sortilèges, Tito Capobianco’s Mefistofele and Rigoletto, and Theodore Pappas’ Merry Widow and traveled with the company to Saratoga, Costa Mesa, Wolf Trap and Artpark. Ms. Edwards also served as Associate Director with Michael Kahn for the 2007 production of Vanessa and as Assistant Director and liaison for the “Live from Lincoln Center” telecast of Jonathan Eaton’s Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci. More recently, she assisted Christopher Alden on his celebrated productions of Don Giovanni and Cosi fan tutte and also assisted Rebecca Taichman on Telemann\'s Orpheus and Michael Counts on Rossini\'s Moses in Egypt.
