In addition to teaching, advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, I served as the IDSC Undergraduate Program Coordinator from September 2013-May 2016; the 20••••20 academic year, and currently hold the position. As coordinator, I keep students \'on-track\' to graduation. I maintain the academic integrity of the program and working with other faculty to create new innovative teaching, experiential learning, and research opportunities for our undergraduate ID majors. I am the President of Phi Beta Kappa-Lambda of Massachusetts sheltered at Clark and an Affiliate Faculty member with the Women and Gender Studies Program.

ABOUT CYNTHIA CARON
Cindy Caron is Associate Professor of Sustainability and Social Justice at Clark University and coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in International Development and Social Change. A political and environmental sociologist, she holds a Ph.D. in Development Sociology from Cornell University. Her research on land and natural resource management has two complementary foci: the first coalesces around displacement, resettlement and place making; the second coalesces around gender relations, property rights, governance and equity. She has held several professional posts in development programming in India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka including: managing a team of engineers and social workers to successfully execute a community-based housing construction resettlement program in North East Sri Lanka and establishing the Applied Research Unit for the United Nations to coordinate and implement multi-sector assessments following complex emergencies such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the 2008 floods in Pakistan. As Senior Research and Evaluation Manager at Landesa, she conducted cross-national research on land tenure security in Rwanda, India, and Ethiopia. In addition to consultancies for World Wildlife Fund and IOM, she has written successful project proposals to USAID and the European Union. From 20••••18, she served as a subject matter expert on gender and land for the Cloudburst Consulting Group. Her research has appeared in refereed journals including, International Forestry Review, Journal of International Development, Society and Natural Resources, Agroforestry Systems, Land Tenure Journal, Journal of Asian and African Studies, Contemporary South Asia, and Energy for Sustainable Development. She has been awarded research grants from the Institute of Current World Affairs, Tropical Resources Institute, Fulbright Hays, and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. She has served on a number of advisory boards in Sri Lanka and on the Board of Trustees, The Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) based in Washington, DC. Currently she is a Board Member of the Land Portal Foundation in Rome.
