WGB’s mission is to support women and children in crisis, and build their confidence and self-esteem, by providing great quality clothing at no cost, assisted by caring and committed volunteers who offer personalized service and interaction. As President of the Board of Directors I have begun to engage the board in several projects in order to continue the growth and maturity of the organization. By engaging board members in these vital projects they feel engaged and continue to develop a deeper commitment to the organization. Additionally, Women Giving Back recently began a Capital Campaign with the goal of raising $4.5M to enhance and expand programming and our facility, to establish a nonprofit hub in eastern Loudoun County and to enhance the volunteer experience with the organization. Additionally these funds will be used to continue to mature our systems, process and staff as we expand to meet the needs of women and children in the DMV.As Outreach Chair, provides leadership in developing new donor markets and engagement with case managers and volunteers to support distribution of clothing to women and children in crisis. During this period client base has grown by 100% and volunteer base by a similar amount. Client base is now significantly more geographically diverse and includes an array of populations. Recently as Vice President of the Board managed the strategic consultant selection process and provides counsel to management. Worked with strategic consultant along side Executive Director resulting in an actionable 3 year plan for WGB. As Development Chair managed the year-end donation drive resulting in 300% of donation goals.
