I am a life-long learner who thrives in environments where I can share what I know and learn from those around me. I am a teacher at heart-which means that my life is devoted to inspiring and motivating others. As I transition out of the classroom setting, I am looking for a role that will use my experiences and apply them in new ways. I am a relationship builder who wants nothing more than to support and guide those around me. I am an empathetic and caring listener who also is able to have direct, difficult conversations. I am a leader who believes in validating and supporting those around me-A few achievements:**Grant funding**Awarded grant funding for 20••••22 school year through 3 separate grants. These provide STEM equipment for our science department and new SEL engagement and sports equipment for our entire campus. Now each classroom teacher has sports equipment to encourage brain breaks and physical activity throughout the day.**Support for educators**When the pandemic started, many of our teachers were unfamiliar with the online tools we had available. I set up templates for teachers to use for their Canvas pages that were stored on a campus course to allow teachers to copy/paste/edit. I set up meetings for teachers to learn the tools available in Canvas and Zoom. I made many tutoring videos through Zoom that were step-by-step guides to the most common features they would use to engage with their classes and stored those videos on internal drives for easy access.**Mentor**Being a mentor to teachers is one of my favorite things. This leadership role allows me to guide our newest members and learn from them as well. I am currently a mentor for new teachers on campus, and have, in the past, mentored veteran teachers who are candidates for National Board Certification. Each mentor role takes on a new meaning, has a different focus, and offers new opportunities to inspire and encourage mentees.**Creating and presenting professional development**Creating growth opportunities for teachers allows me to share all the fun things I am doing in my classroom with a wide range of teachers. I have presented for campus, district, and state-wide audiences anything from math challenges, to STEM projects that integrate language arts and science (truly one of my favorites). Keeping in contact with teachers once they leave has been key to providing the best support for teachers in using the tools I created.
