Leading UX research strategy for ADAS features across a distributed, globally spread team. Defined and led a 12-month strategic research programme — mixed-methods, benchmarked rigorously — achieving a 32-point usability gain (from ~50 to ~82) and a verified market-leading position against direct competitors. Established KPI frameworks and Design Rules to replace subjective sign-off with repeatable, evidence-based acceptance criteria, adopted across the wider design team. Drove cross-functional alignment between engineering, commercial, and design stakeholders through discovery workshops and design sprints — resolving competing priorities with data, not politics. Mentored and coached a distributed team of 4 UX Researchers (UK, US, China), establishing a community of practice and raising research quality standards across all programmes. Championed rapid prototyping workflows in Figma, cutting concept validation cycles from months to weeks.

ABOUT CHRISTOPHER WILSON
I\'ve spent the last decade figuring out how people interact with technology that drives itself, and making sure that interaction actually works. My career has been built at the intersection of research rigour, product delivery, and team leadership. At Jaguar Land Rover, I\'ve led the full research lifecycle for ADAS features: from defining the strategic programme and setting KPIs, through to running mixed-methods studies, navigating regulatory requirements, and presenting evidence that moves decisions at Director and C-suite level. The outcomes are measurable. Before JLR, I completed a PhD in Vehicle Ergonomics and Human Factors at Loughborough University, funded by EPSRC and Nissan Motor Company. I published research on how people will live and work inside autonomous vehicles, presented at international conferences, and spent three months embedded at Nissan\'s UK research facility. That combination of academic rigour and industry application is something I carry into every project. Alongside the research, I genuinely love the leadership side. I\'ve mentored researchers across the UK, US, and China, built communities of practice, and worked hard to create teams where people grow and the quality of work rises with them. I\'m a strong believer that good research doesn\'t end with a report, it ends when it changes something. That\'s what I\'m here to do.
