How people make decisions has always intrigued me. Why they choose to co-operate, to start or resolve conflicts, to take or avoid risks, to accept or discard evidence - these are the questions that I have sought to answer since I was a student.In my academic research, I examine how policy decisions are made in post-conflict and transitional contexts, investigating why and when political elites seek compromise over confrontation. Professionally, I work with businesses, investors and governments to help them navigate uncertainty, understand risks and behave ethically in an increasingly complex and volatile world. I work alongside risk, security and leadership teams to equip them with the necessary data, analysis and intelligence to make difficult decisions.
