ABOUT CURTIS VANDERMOLEN

I\'m a veteran leader in creating positive change and developing public policy. My preferred place with any organization is at the leading edge of imagining what is possible. Through strategic analysis, I have developed processes and implemented technology solutions to improve and expand the delivery of services to end users. I have held leadership roles with a state Commission, a caucus of state Legislators, and several non-profit organizations. Before my introduction to state politics in 2002, I pursued degrees in computer science and business. This coursework has given me unique perspective for developing policy and integrating new technologies to improve the delivery of services. I incorporate an understanding of emerging technology, coupled with basic fundamentals of economics and business. Forging my own path and kicking open doors in a some very change-adverse environments has presented transformational experiences, and I\'m thankful every day that I have the opportunity to do the work that I do.Since completing my Juris Doctorate at UOP McGeorge School of Law, I have advised Indigenous nations and individuals on a broad range of issues from government organization to business development, social services, and human resources. I have litigated gaming compacts between Indigenous nations and the state, defended tribal sovereignty in state and federal courts, and preserved the democratic integrity of tribal governments.
